Lamothe y su gobierno se dieron cuenta de que necesitaban identificar nuevas fuentes de ingresos a trav\u00e9s de mecanismos innovadores de financiaci\u00f3n, especialmente para la educaci\u00f3n. Todas las fuentes de ingresos disponibles en el pa\u00eds fueron evaluadas y luego se puso en marcha r\u00e1pidamente una micro-contribuci\u00f3n en todas las transferencias de dinero realizadas por los millones de haitianos residentes en el exterior (la di\u00e1spora).
